EZ Tuner turns your phone into a fast, accurate tuner for violin, viola,
cello, guitar, ukulele — or any instrument in chromatic mode.
Play a note and the big needle gauge shows exactly how far you are from
pitch, in cents. Guided tuning walks you through your instrument string by
string: the app recognizes which string you're playing, locks onto it, and
marks it complete with a gentle vibration once you hold it in tune. When
every string is done, you're ready to play.
Accurate and calm
• On-device YIN pitch detection, accurate to within a few cents
• Smart filtering keeps the needle steady — no nervous flicker
• Octave-error protection and background-noise rejection
• Clear guidance while you tune: "slightly sharp — ease the peg back a touch"
Made for your instrument
• Violin, viola, cello, guitar, ukulele, and full chromatic mode
• Alternate guitar tunings: Drop D, DADGAD, half-step down
• Ukulele high-G and low-G
• Automatic string detection, or tap a string to target it manually
• Adjustable A4 calibration from 415 to 466 Hz
Practice tools
• Reference tones for your open strings plus a full C2–B6 chromatic grid
• Metronome from 20 to 240 BPM with tap tempo, bar accents, and eighth,
triplet, and sixteenth subdivisions
• Pitch history graph and per-session stats: time in tune and average
deviation
